Trout grilled with oatmeal and bacon

2 persons – 20 minutes

 

Ingredients:

2 fresh trout, cleaned, de-headed and de-tailed

15 grams butter, softened so that it spreads easily

4 tablespoons finely ground oatmeal

8 slices or16 small rounds of bacon

1 lemon cut into four parts

 

Preparing the fish:

Cover each trout on both sides with butter.

Pat 1 tablespoon of oatmeal into each side of a trout.

Cover each side of each trout with bacon.

The fish can then be cooked. The best method is a combination of microwave and grille which takes 12 minutes, turning the fish in the middle of cooking.

(Alternative methods include grill, plancha and frying pan)

 

Serve the fish with 2 lemon quarters each, accompanied by potatoes and peas.
