Pork belly marinaded in honey and lemon

2 persons – 50 minutes

 

Ingredients for the marinade:

1 tablespoon acacia honey

the juice of half a lemon

½ teaspoon freshly-grated ginger root

the leaves of four sprigs of thyme

1 teaspoon olive oil

Ingredients for the pork:

4 thick slices of pork belly

Freshly-ground pepper

 

Preparation:

Mix the pork into the marinade ingredients and leave for 20 minutes in the fridge.

Then in a covered frying pan fry the pork in oil.

Cover with the marinade, turning to ensure covered fully.

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Cover the dish with foil and bake 30 minutes.
